The advertisement reads: “STATUARY. ON SATURDAY, 26TH CURT.,  AN EXHIBITION of THREE FIGURES ILLUSTRATIVE OF A PASSAGE IN BURNS’ SONG ‘O Willie brew’d a peck o’ Maut,  And Rab and Allan cam’ to pree;’  Executed by Mr. J. W. MARSHALL of Edinburgh, will Open, from Ten o’Clock forenoon till dusk, at the Exhibition Room, Argyll Arcade, Glasgow. Admission Ticket 1s. (shilling); Season Ticket 3s. (shillings).”

A short notice, also on page two, reads: “We observe that Mr. J. W. Marshall, of Edinburgh, is to open his exhibition of Statuary on Saturday the 26th. His figures have been highly spoken of by the Edinburgh critics.”
