Frank Worsdall (died 1994)

Frank Worsdall was a specialist on the history of Glasgow and one of the most important contributors to recording its architectural heritage. Born in the Midlands, his family moved to the city which was to provide him with inspiration, but also frustration over the loss of so many of its landmark buildings.

Worsdall’s research led to the publication of: The Tenement: A Way of Life, 1979, and later edition; The City that Disappeared: Glasgow’s Demolished Architecture, 1981; Victorian City: A Selection of Glasgow’s Architecture, 1982 and later edition; and A Glasgow Keek Show, 1981 and later edition.
