The Plight of Unpaid Carers in Scotland (3): “We Can’t Bite the Hand that Feeds Us”
A charity.
It’s meant to help the vulnerable,
and those who look after them:
their unpaid carers.
But does it help?
Does it care?
The people in charge,
they talk about rights
to improve lives for all.
They claim to give us a
voice.
Do they really?
When an unpaid carer
asks if they could help
to make changes,
they are told, “NO!”
“We are dependent
on politicians for almost
all of our funding.
“WE CAN’T BITE
THE HAND
THAT
FEEDS US!”
