August 1899: Donation of an Organ to the Clyde Training-Ship, “Empress”, by Mr T. A. Ewing, of the Albany Galleries, Sauchiehall Street

A short notice on page four of The Glasgow Herald, on Saturday the 12th of August, 1899, reads:

 

“THE CLYDE TRAINING-SHIP.—The treasurer of the Clyde training-ship Empress, on behalf of

the Executive Committee, begs to acknowledge with thanks receipt from Mr T. A. Ewing, of the

Albany Galleries, Sauchiehall Street, of an organ for the use of the boys in divine service.”
