Cathedral Anthems: Mr. Howden, with a Select and Efficient Choir, Perform in the Bath Street Independent Church, on Thursday the 13th of April, 1854

An advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Monday the 3rd of April, 1854, reads:

 

“CATHEDRAL ANTHEMS.

“MR. HOWDEN, with a select and efficient Choir, will give a PERFORMANCE from the Works of PURCELL, DR. BOYCE, DR. GREENE, KENT, and DR. CROFT,

In BATH STREET INDEPENDENT CHURCH,

On THURSDAY EVENING, the 13th APRIL, 1854.

Doors Open at Half-past Seven o’clock, Performance to commence precisely at Eight.

Admission, 1s. 6d.; Front of Area, 2s. 6d.

Tickets to be had of Mr. Wood, Mr. De Monti, and Mr. Moore, Buchanan Street; and from Mr. McLehose [sic], St. Vincent Street.”
