Concert by the St. Mungo Musical Association, April 1871
A short notice on page four of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 4th of April, 1871, reads:
” CONCERT.—The members of the St Mungo Musical Association (Mr John Fulcher, conductor)
gave last night a concert in the Choral Hall. As the concert was expressly stated in the programme
to be of a ‘private’ nature, we refrain from any criticism, merely remarking that the entertainment
was a pleasant one, and a satisfactory indication of musical progress in Glasgow.”
