December 1892: Miss Jessie N. Maclachlan is Handed a Cheque for £150

A short notice in the ‘CLYDESIDE ECHOES.’ column, on page four of the Glasgow Evening News (Glasgow Evening Post, in The

British Newspaper Archive), on Thursday the 1st of December, 1892, reads:

 

“Miss Jessie N. Maclachlan has been handed a cheque for £150, the proceeds of the recent complimentary concert given her in the

City Hall.”
