December 1913: Grand Concert, with Miss Margaret Sinclair, the “Celebrated Contralto Singer”, in the Restaurant Louis XVI, John Anderson’s Royal Polytechnic

An advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Wednesday the 31st of December, 1913, informed readers

about that day’s Grand Concert, in the Polytechnic’s Restaurant Louis XVI. It ran from 4 to 5 o’clock.

 

Miss Sinclair performed five songs: Beloved, it is Morn, Love’s Old Sweet Song, My Little Grey Home in the West, Denis

Darlin, and The Bonnie Brier Bush.
