January 1920: the Southern Syncopated Orchestra in Glasgow – Performances in St. Andrew’s Hall and in Govan Town Hall

A short notice on page ten of the Daily Record and Mail (Daily Record, in The British Newspaper Archive),

on Tuesday the 13th of January, 1920, reads:

 

SYNCOPATED ORCHESTRA.

 

After a successful run in the Kelvin Hall, the Southern Syncopated Orchestra

gave two successful performances in St. Andrew’s Hall, yesterday. Both in the

afternoon and evening there were large audiences, and special selections wert [sic]

given.

 

To-day, to-morrow, and Thursday and Friday the band will be in Govan Town

Hall every afttrnoon [sic] and evening.”
