Juvenile Concert at the City Hall, April 1869

A short notice on page four of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 27th of April, 1869, reads:

“JUVENILE CONCERT.—Last night a juvenile demonstration of national and school song took place

in the City Hall. The choir of youthful vocalists numbered about 1200, the leader being Mr. W. M.

Miller. The progamme comprised a selection of Scotch airs arranged as part songs, and other pieces

suited for juveniles, which were all very tastefully rendered, and apparently to the entire satisfaction

of the audience.”
