March 1935: Govan Police Concert, in Govan Town Hall

An article on page nine of The Glasgow Herald, on Wednesday the 20th of March, 1935, reads:

 

“GOVAN POLICE CONCERT

 

The annual concert promoted by the officers of the Govan Division of Glasgow Police in aid of

Elder Cottage Hospital was held last night in Govan Town Hall.

 

Assistant Chief Constable David Warnock, who presided, said that in the past 10 years, as a

result of the generous support given to the police concert, they had been able to contribute

£2010 to the funds of the hospital.”
