May 1916: Grand Afternoon Concert, with The Saint Mungo Quartette Party, in the Restaurant Louis XVI, John Anderson’s Royal Polytechnic

There is an advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 9th of May, 1916, for the

Grand Afternoon Concert which was being held on Wednesday the 10th.

 

The Saint Mungo Quartette were booked to perform songs, duets, and quartettes, and the singers and musicians

are those named in the advertisement in the Monday the 8th of May edition of the Herald, which is listed elsewhere

on this site.

 

The name of the party is more often listed as “St Mungo”.
