Mr. Anderson’s concert, featuring Mr. Taylor of Perth, at the Trades’ Hall, 31st of March 1819
An advertisement for this concert is below that of Mr. Weir’s, in The Glasgow Herald, 29th of March 1819. It refers to Mr. Taylor’s “admirable singing of Scottish Songs, at the recent Concerts in this City”, which were “received with unbounded applause.” Also appearing were: Mr. Cumming, Mr. Dobbie, Mr. McFarlane, and Mr. Wilmot of the 40th Band.
Tickets, which cost 2 shillings and sixpence each, were available at the Music Shops, of Murray and Bonnard, and of Mr. Anderson, 44, Stockwell, Glasgow. The performance on Wednesday the 31st completed Mr. Taylor’s engagement in Glasgow.
