Mr. Andrew Thomson, junior, is Teaching the Royal Children to Dance, 1849

A short notice on page two of The Glasgow Herald, on Friday the 27th of July, 1849, reads:

 

“We are pleased to learn that our young townsman, Mr. Andrew Thomson, jun., is, by the express command

of her Majesty, teaching the Prince of Wales and the other Royal children dancing, at Osborne, Isle of Wight.

The Queen and Prince Albert have expressed themselves highly pleased with the progress of the Royal Pupils. —
