Mr H. A. Lambeth’s Choir: Popular Concert at St Andrew’s Halls (Berkeley Street) (Late New Public Halls), on Saturday the 11th of October, 1879

The advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Wednesday the 8th of October, 1879, refers to the concert:

“BEING THE FIRST APPEARANCE IN GLASGOW SINCE THE HONOUR CONFERRED BY A SECOND COMMAND TO APPEAR BEFORE HER

MAJESTY THE QUEEN AT BALMORAL.”

 

“The Programme will contain Selections from Pieces as Sung by the Choir on each occasion of its appearance at Court.”

 

Mr Lambeth played two organ solos, and Mdlle Hetta Lippmann played a piano solo. The review is on page four of the Herald, on Monday the 13th of October.
