Mr. Weir’s Annual Concert, at the Trades’ Hall, 30th March 1819, Mr. Taylor of Perth

An advertisement in The Glasgow Herald, 29th of March 1819, informed music lovers that Mr. Weir had engaged the celebrated Mr. Taylor of Perth to perform on Tuesday the 3oth, following his successful concerts on two previous nights. Assistance was to be provided by Messrs. Dobbie and Imrie, and the Band of St. George’s Church. During the course of the evening, Mr. Weir would introduce “a few Favourite Airs on the MUSICAL GLASSES.”

Tickets, which were two shillings and sixpence each, were available at the Music Shops, and at Mr. Weir, No. 8, Garthland Street, Glasgow.
