October 1873: A Concert by the Jubilee Singers, in St Vincent Street U. P. Church, on Tuesday the 28th

There is an advertisement for the concert on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 28th of October, 1873.

 

The concert was under the auspices of St Vincent Street U.P. Church Young Men’s Institute, and tickets, which were available

at Messrs Swan and Pentland, Buchanan Street, cost two shillings-and-sixpence, and one shilling each. The entire proceeds

were to go for the “Benefit of Fisk University”.
