A short article on page 453 (page 121, in The British Newspaper Archive) of The Bioscope, on Thursday the 28th of October,
1915, reads:
“Mr. George Miller Reid, the West of Scotland representative of the Edinburgh Film Supply Company, and formerly
manager of the King’s Theatre, Glasgow, has just had his well-known music ability recognised. He has been appointed
principal bass in the choir of Glasgow Cathedral, and commenced his duties on Sunday last. We do have some talent in
our ranks up in the far North.”
