October 1945: Music and Musicians – Studies for Piano

An article on page three of The Glasgow Herald, on Thursday the 18th of October, 1945, under the heading ‘Music and Musicians’, by

‘Our Music Critic’, reads:

 

“STUDIES FOR PIANO

 

J. Michael Diack has sent me a copy of 12 short studies for piano which he has just published with Paterson’s

Publications. They are well diversified in style and of very moderate difficulty, running innocently along on

good terms with the keyboard. Each of them has a title. Number 11, ‘On My 72nd Birthday,’ shows Mr Diack

bearing very lightly two more than the allotted span of years.”
