Saturday Evening Concerts, November 1856: the Minerva Rooms

A short article on page five of The Glasgow Herald, on Monday the 3rd of November, 1856, includes:

“Saturday Evening Concerts. – The concerts in the Minerva Rooms, under the management of Mr.

Morison Kyle, continue to be highly successful. This is to be accounted for by the superior

entertainment which is weekly brought forward. The elegant hall has been greatly improved in point

of ventilation by the introduction of two of McKinnell’s ventilators.”
