Scottish Song and Ballad: Mr. Milne at the Merchants’ Hall, on Tuesday the 25th of March, 1851
A small advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Monday the 24th of March, 1851, reads:
“SCOTTISH SONG AND BALLAD.
MR. MILNE, previous to his return to London, will have
the honour of giving an EVENING ENTERTAINMENT,
in the MERCHANTS’ HALL, Hutcheson Street, on
TUESDAY, 25th MARCH.
Mr. BAYNE will preside at the Piano Forte.
Doors open at Half-past Seven o’clock.—Performance to
commence at Eight.
Tickets—Reserved seats, 2s.; Back seats, 1s. Programmes
will be had of Messrs. J. Muir Wood, and W. Mitchison,
Musicsellers; and the Booksellers.”
