Signor Spagnoletti: Paolo Spagnoletti (1768-1834) Violinist and Conductor

 

Paolo Spagnoletti was born in Cremona, Italy, close to the workshops of Stradivari and Amati. He settled in London around 1802, and was a virtuosi violinist and noted orchestral leader, who also became a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
