The Kyrle Choir, at the Old Man’s Asylum, Rottenrow, April 1898

From page six of The Glasgow Herald, on Wednesday the 6th of April, 1898:

“OLD MAN’S ASYLUM, ROTTENROW.- The concluding concert of the season was given last night by the Kyrle Choir, under the presidency of ex-Councillor Pirrie. A long and varied programme of part songs, solos, and duets having been gone through, the chairman congratulated the audience on their being privileged to hear the Kyrle Choir at their last concert for the season. He was pleased to think that during the long winter evenings these concerts had been a source of much enjoyment to them, and hoped that the entertainments would be continued in coming winters. An excellent entertainment was brought to a close with votes of thanks.”
