April 1895: Arts and Crafts Exhibition, in the Queen’s Rooms – Prizes for Photographs

A short notice, under the heading “Snap Shots”, on page 201 of Photography, on Thursday the

28th of March, 1895, reads:

 

Snap Shots.

 

In connection with the Exhibition of Arts and Crafts to be held in the Queen’s Rooms, Glasgow,

from the 6th to 11th of April, prizes are offered for the best instantaneous photograph, for the

best landscape, and for the best groups. The judges are Mr. Craig Annan, Mr. Coulson, and Mr.

Warneuke.”
