February 1911: D. Y. Cameron Etchings at George Davidson Ltd., 123 Sauchiehall Street
An advertisement on page eight of The Glasgow Herald, on Wednesday the 8th of February, 1911, reads:
“D. Y. CAMERON ETCHINGS.
A LARGE SELECTION (including BELGIAN, LONDON and PARIS SETS) of the Important American
Collection dispersed in Christie’s on Tuesday 7th inst. is now offered at ten per cent. ON COST FOR
CASH FOR ONE WEEK ONLY.
GEORGE DAVIDSON, LIMITED.
123 SAUCHIEHALL STREET.”
The collection belonged to Mr A. J. Parsons, director of the print-room, Library of Congress, Washington DC.
