A short article on page four of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 22nd of October, 1901, reads:
“GLASGOW SCHOOL OF ART. – The ordinary course of lectures on architecture was introduced last night by a special
lecture on Scottish mediaeval work by Mr P. Macgregor Chalmers, F.S.A., illustrated by a very fine series of lantern
views. Mr Newbery, in thanking Mr Chalmers, expressed the hope that other like variations on the course might be made
during the session.”
