January 1851: Superior Lithographic Stones, Direct from a First-Rate Quarry on the Continent, Have Just Arrived at A. & W. Kennedy, Glassford Street

An advertisement on the front page of The Glasgow Herald, on Friday the 24th of January, 1851, informed lithographers and

engravers that A. & W. Kennedy, Wholesale Stationers, 27 Glassford Street, had “just received, direct from a first-rate Quarry

on the Continent, an assortment of superior LITHOGRAPHIC STONES, to which they solicit the attention of the Trade.”
