January 1900: The Kelvinside Academy and the Paris Exhibition
A short article on page four of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 16th of January, 1900, reads:
“THE KELVINSIDE ACADEMY AND THE PARIS EXHIBITION. – The designs sent up by the art
department of this school for exhibition in Paris have, says Dr Ogilvie, the hon. secretary of the
Scottish educational exhibit, been much admired in Edinburgh. He much regrets that the limit of
space did not permit of all the 13 designs being forwarded to Paris, but states that, as it is, the five
selected designs will be placed in a group and form a feature of much interest in the exhibit.”
