July 1836: Allan and Ferguson – Lithographic Printer Wanted

An advertisement on page seven of the Weekly Dispatch (Weekly Dispatch (London),

in The British Newspaper Archive), on Sunday the 31st of July, 1836, reads:

 

LITHOGRAPHIC PRINTER WANTED.

ALLAN and FERGUSON, Lithographers, Glasgow, are in immediate want

of a good CHALK PRINTER, and will be glad to treat with a person qualified

to undertake the work. They will pay his expenses down, and give him an

engagement for a term of years, with a liberal salary. Applicants will require to

enclose a few specimens of their work, and to leave the packet, addressed as above,

with Mr. Cateo, 139, Cheapside, London.”
