March 1939: ‘Bobbie Dazzler’, at the Princess’s Theatre, “Surely is the champion long-distance ‘runner’ of British pantomimes”
An article on page ten of The Glasgow Herald, on Tuesday the 28th of March, 1939, reads:
” ‘BOBBIE DAZZLER’ AT THE PRINCESS’S THEATRE
The pantomime at the Princess’s Theatre entered last night on still another week of its long
run. ‘Bobbie Dazzler’ surely is the champion long-distance ‘runner’ of British pantomimes.
The performance was received with enthusiasm by a large audience, the members of which
gave evidence of their hearty enjoyment of the fun and frolic, glitter, and sparkle provided
by George West and his fellow artists.”
The show opened on Thursday the 15th of December, 1938.
