February 1930: Scottish National Players – Over The Wireless – B.B.C. – “The Prince Charlie Play”
An article on page two of the Aberdeen Press and Journal, on Saturday the 8th of February, 1930, reads:
“Prince Charlie Play.
On Wednesday, the Glasgow studio is to be the stage for an all-stations broadcast of Naomi Jacobs’s [sic]
one-act play, ‘The Dawn.’ Scottish listeners have already heard this play, which is set in the year 1752,
and pictures an entirely mythical return of Bonnie Prince Charlie. ‘The Dawn’ is to be produced on this
occasion by Elliot Mason, producer of the Scottish National Players, who is a close friend of the author.”
